Acoustic Data Loggers Available We purchased several SNAP recorders from Loggerhead Instruments to use as part of a specific humpback whale research project. Most were used one day to record vocalizations of humpback whale song offshore.
Moving forward, we don't need this many hydrophones for our research so we're selling some so that other marine mammal projects can put them to good use. They're not helping anyone on our shelves. The units are self contained in pvc canisters, battery operated, and store data on SD cards. We had some placed on ledges attached to weights and others suspended in the water column from floats.
