Dear MARMAM community,

We are looking for recordings of male harbor seals, either from zoos and
aquariums, research institutions, or the wild. These can be either in air or
underwater recordings, with a preference for in air vocalizations. Online
repository data are also very welcome, with the exclusion of Macaulay Library
from which we have already obtained data.

We would like to use these vocalizations to complement already existing data to
calculate vocal parameters in respective seal groups in the course of one of my
PhD chapters. This chapter investigates the differences of vocal behavior in
several seal groups (under human care trained and untrained vocalizations, as
well as wild vocalizations).

Any type of vocalization is of interest, as long as it's from male harbor seals
over the age of ~ 2 years. Please contact us via diandra.duen...@mpi.nl.
Before any of the data would be considered for any other publication than the
thesis chapter, the owner of the data will be contacted and further details
discussed.

Cheers,

Diandra
