Greetings All, The Marine Mammal Center is hiring a Community Projects Manager!
Do you have a deep knowledge of Hawai’i’s natural resources and a strong understanding of communities on Hawai'i Island? This role connects with and listens to the community to better understand how to malama the people and coastlines of Big Island. We are looking for a Community Projects Manager in our Kona location to develop and lead community engagement to support understanding of how endangered Hawaiian monk seals and humans can share our shores. Location of Position: Kona, Hawai’i Reports to: Associate Director, Hawai’i Community Conservation Position Classification & Expected Hours of Work, and Travel: * This is a part-time position. * 32 hours per week * Funded by a Congressional Earmark Grant through September 30, 2026. * Regular onsite work is required. * Days and hours of work can change based on the needs of the program. * Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. * Working on Saturdays will often be required for community events. * Occasional travel to satellite facilities and/or field work is for this position.
