Associate Research Scientist II - EcoMap

The Spatial Ecology, Mapping, and Assessment Program (EcoMap) at the
Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life, New England Aquarium, seeks a highly
motivated quantitative ecologist to fill the role of Postdoctoral Associate
Research Scientist. EcoMap is conducting a broad array of analyses to
assess the effects of climate change and human use of the ocean on marine
mammals and sea turtles. EcoMap is particularly interested in understanding
the impacts of climate change, determining the effects of wind energy
development on marine mammals and turtles, and quantifying the drivers of
marine mammal biodiversity and community ecology at broad spatial and
temporal scales. The Postdoctoral Associate Research Scientist will be
expected to lead research related to marine mammals and turtles, including
species distribution modeling, causal modeling, biodiversity analyses, and
techniques to determine the impacts of climate change. The Postdoctoral
Associate Research Scientist will be expected to make contributions to
additional ongoing research projects within EcoMap. The ideal candidate
will have a publication record that demonstrates a command and use of one
or more state-of-the-art quantitative methods to address contemporary
issues in conservation.

This is a full-time regular position offering a comprehensive benefits
package. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with the
option for some flexibility on the hours. Work will be conducted remotely.
Remote days are only available for residents of MA, RI, NH, ME, NY and VT.
