TREATMENT, MANAGEMENT AND RESCUE OF MARINE ANIMALS COURSE
CRAM
Foundation has again organised its recognised training
course on the Clinical Treatment, Management and Rescue
of Marine Animals. This is a very complete course
directed towards students of Biology, Marine Sciences and
Veterinary Medicine, and also at those without previous
training who are interested in acquiring knowledge and
learning specific techniques on these topics.
OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
- To provide information on the
diagnosis and rescue of marine animals that arrive stranded,
sick or injured to our shores.
- To learn the techniques used in the
transport, care, conditioning, nutrition and general
rehabilitation of marine animals.
- To introduce the biology of turtles,
cetaceans, elasmobranchs, sea birds and pinnipeds. To
understand the conservation problems that affect marine
animals.
- To understand the interaction of
fisheries with marine life, the views of fishermen and the
importance of fisheries in achieving solutions to problems
affecting marine life.

DURATION: 40 hours (20 hours theory - 20 hours practical work).
SCHEDULE: 18 - 22 July, 9:00h to 18:00h.
PRICE: 450€ (10% Discount for CRAM Volunteers).
PLACE: CRAM Foundation, El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona).
ACCOMMODATION:
CRAM Foundation has an agreement with a local youth hostel, for
accommodation at a very reasonable price. For more information about
the youth hostel, please see the attached pdf.
PRICE: 14€ + IVA per night
14€ x 5 nights = 70€ + 8% tax
COURSE + ACCOMMODATION = 520€
