Dear all,

As some of you may know, wave energy buoys are about to be deployed along
the Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia coast as part of a feasibility
study for commercial generation of electrical power. If these pilot
projects are successful, large scale deployments of wave energy buoys will
occur along the Pacific Coast (each project could include up to 200 buoys).

I am drafting comments to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission about
possible biological impacts of wave energy buoys on marine life. If anyone
knows of relevant research about the effects of chronic underwater noise or
electromagnetic radiation on marine mammals, or any other potential impacts
on marine mammals (especially impacts to migratory movements of whales) from
similar types of projects, I would greatly appreciate you sending it to me.

Thanks,

Brett Hartl
