I've been thinking about this too, but I wonder if some people will confuse "unsupported" with "unmaintained". Like, we wouldn't want end users to come along and think "What, this is no longer supported and just left here for legacy users" etc. Perhaps adding a date to each release would show that it's still maintained (as we do a revision every month), or some combination of "Maintained by TDF, but unsupported / supported by volunteers".
