Good news! LibreOffice wins hands down this year! MSOffice does not even
show in the list of possible office suites this year. You can see the
breakdown in votes here:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/2013-linuxquestions-org-members-choice-awards-109/office-suite-of-the-year-4175488208/
There were only 3 contenders: Calligra, Libreoffice and OpenOffice.org.
Of course LibreOffice won hands downs with 85.5% of the votes, but we
should still try to get it above the 90% mark next time. There used to
be a more "fine grained" awards categories such as "Wordprocessor",
"SpreadSheet", "Office suite data base", "Presentation" etc. but
LibreOffice had won all of these last year and really put to shame all
of the other contenders, so, I guess this year, they only made the
"Office Suite of the Year" category which LibreOffice won by a landslide.
We should tweet about this and do the social media thingy if we can.
Always good news to rant a bit about our awards.
If you are curious, the other linux category awards are found here:

Charles: this should be added to the Awards section of our site.
Cheers,
Marc
