Hmm, I'm really not so sure I like the new logo. Florian, would you mind
replacing it by our standard logo? Perhaps we can launch a design contest
afterwards.

Thanks,

Charles.

Nope, but I think that brings up a very interesting point : two pages is
maybe too much. I think we should choose between a LibreOffice and a
Document Foundation page. Having both brings confusion.

Can I have the sources from this precise file please?

It's too small to integrate well with the Community logo resolution
standard, I need it bigger and with a larger alpha channel

Thanks!

  Hi everyone!

Could we have a LibreOffice cover photo for our official page on
Google+ ?

Right now we're using the default theme which is not so classy...

Thanks!

While I do like the design, we should be careful in creating various logos that may confuse our users/visitors to our sites. The marketing team (as small as it is) is in charge of the maintenance of the TDF/LibreOffice brand.

Our usual practice till now, was to post a proposed design on the marketing list for discussion; if the concept was agreed by the marketing team, it was then checked out by the design team for refining and final voting by members of the marketing/design teams for official use. After this, the artwork was officially added to our "Gallery of Marketing and Design Resources" wiki page[1]. This is the wiki page where you will find the collection of officially accepted designs for marketing purposes.

It seems like we may be diluting our marketing and design process for the simple reason of expediency. I am not sure if this is a good idea if we are to try to build a solid brand with global recognition.

IMO, we should have more of a conservative approach and make sure that our brand remains important in designing artwork.

Cheers,

Marc

BTW ... as a side-note, the mish-mash of bottom and top-posting gets really confusing. Could we please go back to bottom posting as what we have agreed to?
