-------------------------------- Hello. I've just downloaded and started using the C/C++ connector library (v.2.1.0), libmariadb.dll. I had simply dropped it in as a direct replacement for the MySQL C connector library (v.6.1.6 x64), libmysql.dll. While it works as expected, there is an unduly long lapse during mysql_real_connect(), lasting for about fifteen seconds, before the connection is established. With libmysql.dll, the connection is almost immediate. Might there be any additional setting that I may have missed to prevent this lapse?
