Hello! After researching a lot what to use to track records of patients in our small clinic (offering counselling & homeopathy treatments), we are considering that Roundup & MantisBT might be good choices to evaluate. (RT looks powerful, but probably too complicated for our needs. Moreover, it's written in Perl, and considering our time-constraints and needs, PHP & Python seems to be better alternatives to learn.)
We've investigated about Roundup a bit, but now would like to know if Mantis could serve our purpose with some (easy) customization. Briefly, we want to track general data about each client (name, contact details etc.) along with the history of all the 'medical records' (EMR). Moreover, we have a need to do different queries to find out about each client, reports about what remedies were prescribed to the patients etc. Here I have few questions concerning the design of our customized tracker looking for some hints how to resolve it... 1) the plan is to register every patient/client as the user of the tracker and adding more contact details (address, date/place/time of birth...). (Maybe it would be nice to have some link between family members later.) Is it possible to do it in Mantis? In Roundup we're advised to create separate class for the clients in order to more easily eliminate problem of clients being informed about the issues of other clients, which, clearly, should not be possible. Can we do it in Mantis as well? 2) Each encounter with the patient (be it counselling or homeopathic treatment) would become a new 'issue' with its own history which can be easily browsed/searched. Additional documentation like e.g. images, scans of medical docs etc. can be attached as Files in the issue. Moreover, each 'issue' would be assigned to each 'client' so that there is easy way to track the whole medical record for each patient. So, what do you think if the Mantis is adequate tool for the above described task? Sincerely, Gour p.s. Gmane page says that posting is allowed (via Gmane), so it would be nice if someone can change to reflect the (current) situation. -- Gour | Hlapicina, Croatia | GPG key: CDBF17CA ----------------------------------------------------------------
