Yes, exactly.  Sendgrid had an account compromise occur right around the time when Twilio was acquiring them.  Twilio, never shut down the compromise from what we saw.  And I think Sendgrid has incentives to get more people on the platform probably to increase the price.  That did not equate to quality users with skin in the game on the platform IMO.  In a matter of weeks, we saw Sendgrid became a haven for spammers and a high risk indicator.  I've tried working with them to resolve the issues but as I mentioned a few weeks ago, they let go the person leading the abuse fight.

As for other providers, it depends what you need.  I am a principal here at raptoremailsecurity.com and we handle a lot of outbound services.  Always looking for more customers and our email security bonafides are extreme.  However, if you mean a more traditional ESP, I would probably you to talk to sendedge.com because they understand the dark side of marketing and they are trying to do it right for brands that care about that.
