Hi all,

Was doing some DKIM maintenance on one of my domains, and noticed one of the
systems I use can include a z tag in the signature.

> “z” Tag: A vertical bar-separated (i.e., | ) list of header fields present
> when the message was signed. This includes the names of the header fields and
> their values. For example: z=From:ad...@example.come|To:j...@example.com|
> Subject:test%20message|Date:Date:August%2026,%202011%205:30:02%20PM%20-0700

While almost nobody reads message headers to see the signature, I can see how
it can be useful to see if a header was modified in transit. However, how
practical/useful/needed is it in real life, and more importantly, is there any
harm in testing its use?

Cheers,
Faisal
