Any legitimate customer on *.onmicrosoft.com add an alias with their real
domains. Real customer emails will have real domains in the Microsoft
service.
There is essentially no legitimate email with
<randomletters>.onmicrosoft.com sender domains. Microsoft has made a
business decision,
There appears to be no problem with blocking *.onmicrosoft.com
