I'm in agreement.  I don't see an issue.  All the largest providers are minimum 
TLS. 1.2. We have had many years to migrate.

TLS 1.2 has been specified in Aug 2008, so operating systems and
software from the last 10 years will most likely support it.

I don't see a reason for supporting older versions anymore.
There was enough time to upgrade the systems and it got officially
deprecated in 2021.
