Hi,

for some weeks, the 1&1 invitation/calendar service is being used to transmit
spam. As there are some legitimate users,
we can't simply block the e-mails identified as coming from this service, so
1&1: Please ix this!

It's just not reasonable to let freshly registered users without a legitimate
mail correspondence history send calendar
invitations from IP addresses all over the world, there should be a way to
detect and stop obviously fraudulent
registration and usage patterns.

Of course I've reported dozens of these to their abuse address, got no reaction
at all. I know that this mailing list is
not the place to complain about subjectively insufficient abuse desk handling,
but given the recent announcement of
implementing DMARC quarantine policies at 1&1 I don't think it's completely
unreasonable to expect them to put their own
house in order.

Cheers,
Hans-Martin
