Thanks Laura,

I seen that under other errors from their site
https://postmaster.aol.com/error-codes all of their 554 errors are more
specific and not generic 55x
I am talking about thousands of these and they just started today.

We don’t generally send much mail to AOL at all, but at this moment they are
accounting for 75% of the mail in our outbound queues.

Thanks,
Bob

Wierd…We are seeing allot of messages returned to us with the following error
from AOL;

554 5.7.1
Your mail could not be delivered because the recipient is not accepting any
mail. If you feel you received this in error, please contact the recipient
directly and ask them to check their email settings. (in reply to end of
    DATA command)

That’s generally a block set by the recipient and no one can help with that. I
had a talk with one of the postmaster’s about it a few months ago and she’s
just “yeah, it’s dumb, but they do it.”

It could be a block against a certain word or phrase, not a block directly
against you as a sender.
