I think you hit the newly supported OAuth2 authentication flow. From the
release notes:
Revision 6242 (Friday, April 4, 2025)
New: OAuth2 support for Fastmail accounts.

If you can use OAuth2 by logging in with your Fastmail account I would rather
do this and use the latest (6255), buy you can access all versions at:
https://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/
And if you really don’t want it maybe download revision 6241.
