Must say that I have not had the issues you reported and am using only three longer columns now for my formatted inbox (and the same ripple down on sub-message folders) windows. When I changed my column structure of the Inbox with this latest version, I did not check use as Default. Still not checked. “Use as Default” and “Return to Default” settings also show up at the bottom of window (^+ click while the pointer is in the menu bar). Seems to work as desired for me. Typically, I’ve found if someone can replicate an issue, they will be more likely to respond. All together for Inboxe I use (L-®: * Unread(icon), * Flag(icon), * From, * Date Received, * Standard Single Column(experimental two line), * Attachment(icon) I also use the more traditional layouts for other smart folders and Source folders. Again, no reaction of an intermittent nature for me. Have you tried de-selecting the Default setting? In no case do I use Default settings because of this variation.
