Eric, All:

Can’t reproduce your first, second or third instances mentioned, on my machine/installation of MM.

Comparing using my Google account, as you describe in MacOS 12.3.1 on a MBP(MacBook Pro) 2019 in MM r5882. I haven’t upgraded to build r5885 as yet. Perhaps check in the downgraded version I use. Haven’t upgraded to that one as its stated improvement(s) are not troubling me was of now. Will get back if that changes.

Tried on several other accounts and combos of Drafts, Junk, Sent, Mailing List mailboxes without success.

The only thing I found “sticky” is the SpamSieve Score column in Junk Folder. It keeps turning itself on all the time… A default thing? I keep turning it off. It goes on again, apparently on its own. It may be that it’s due to an upgrade where the default changes it after an upgrade and I don’t notice it for awhile. Just noticed today and remember turning it off before. Just sayin’. Anybody had this one?

Will verify with 5885, ASAP.

My column order…
Sent Messages:
1. Read
2. Flag
3. To
4. Subject
5. Date Received.
6. Attachment

Inbox:
1. Read
2. Flag
3. From
4. Subject
5. Date Received
6. Attachment

Respectfully,

Henry Seiden

Hi, I know there have been nagging problems with column settings not always being preserved, but I have what I think is a new, completely reproducible symptom. If I start in one of my inboxes, then switch to one of my sent messages folders and then back to that inbox, the displayed columns in that inbox are now different than what I started with.

Specifically, when viewing my gmail inbox, I see the expected columns, including "From", etc. I then switch to my gmail sent folder, where I have a "To" column instead of the "From". So far, so good. But if I then switch back to my gmail inbox, I'm left with the "To" column, rather than it switching back to viewing the "From" column. Other columns (e.g. Attachments) also disappear. I have to manually select "Revert to Default Columns" to correct it.

I can't tell if this is new behavior in one of the recent test builds, but I certainly find myself needing to "Revert to Default Columns" way more often in recent weeks.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

-Eric
