Thank you for all your answers, I will check these various apps, assuming they have a free trial version. Given the (very) high number of mails I have to keep, the efficiency of the Find function will be critical, as well as, if possible, the support of the hierarchical organisation of the mailboxes.

I use EagleFiler (https://c-command.com/eaglefiler/) for this, along with the EagleFiler MM bundle.

I had noted some ideas on how to potentially customize the bundle to better handle tagged emails, but haven't had the time to try to implement them.

I know this has been treated repeatedly, but I can’t seem to find the relevant information : if my emails are deleted from the server (when I retire for example), how can I save all my mailboxes/emails locally (or on a server) in a searchable form, that would include the attachments?

I seem to remember there were commercial apps that can do that, but I don’t find the right info.
