You didn't write when it fails, but I assume you mean that emails
don't leave the mailbox when it's no longer “today”. At least, if
I send an email to myself then it does show up in the Today mailbox.

No, it doesn’t leaves the mailbox at a later time. Only if I restart
MM it does.
