I have a “todo” item which tells me to redesign how this works,
because I thought it was mainly a design problem when I received bug
reports similar to this. But I just realized that the current system
actually has a major bug for new messages. I've fixed it and this
should work much better in the next update (for “derived from
context” users). There's likely to be a test release in a day or
two.
