It might not be the case. Checking other possibilities.

I have address patterns set for my accounts, and discovered that when a sender has an address for me in all upper case, MM does not recognize it as matching the address pattern.

Call me crazy, I don't care, but ...

What I care about is having my rules work. What I don't care about is if some sender converts my email address to upper case.

If this is actually a problem that needs a solution, I would like to strongly suggest that forcing entire email addresses to lower-case is not it.

The problem:

(1) Some services convert email addresses to all upper case. They shouldn't, of course, because technically the semantics of the local-part is entirely up to the receiving domain, which could enforce case sensitivity if it chooses. But the fact remains that I receive some email where the address that reached me was converted to all uppercase.

(2) MM rules seem to be case-sensitive.

From my point of view, I want rules to work regardless of case.
