[MlMt] Default expunge?

Does MailMate do any sort of automatic expunge of messages?  I think 
maybe it does, because there are fewer messages in the Deleted Messages 
folder of my active accounts than there would be otherwise, but I 
can’t find anything about it in preferences or the manual.
