I'm looking for ways to have a mailbox that shows any email from a
specific group of people, similar to VIP in iOS or apple mail.
I know its been asked a few times in the past and it is not there but
I'm getting tired of maintaining both a list in both mailmate and
busycal for my list of people.
I was wondering if there was a way to get mailmate to look at the
contents of a text file ? Then I could just extract the list of
emails from busycal and only have to maintain the "VIP" list in one
place.
I assume what you mainly need is for these emails to be tagged as VIP
or maybe Important (in Gmail language). This could be done by a custom
bundle command which is run by a rule on all incoming messages. Should
I create an example framework for you and then you can fill in the
holes?
Sure.
Note, Its not "important", its more like VIP - but I have a few set of
people I do this for. Basically list of contacts that are family, list
of people that my team, list of people that are VIP and I have a folder
for each so I can ignore or react accordingly ;)
