Ack... I get a "doink" sound when I hit the number. I've looked at my system keyboard shortcuts and use keyCue to look at keybindings and see nothing that is intercepting the keystroke. Any ideas?

I must be missing something, but setting a flag is defaulted to cmd-shift L. Hitting Shift-F then a number doesn't work for me.

It's rudimentary, but for those interested, MailMate can be told to set a coloured flag by first hitting ⇧F and then follow it by 0-7. These flags are “synched” with Apple Mail via IMAP keywords. (Custom key bindings can be used to set a different set of keys if desired.)
