I may have found the problem but would like confirmation before I mess things up.. The proxy stuff added to apache.conf asks for the modules mod_headers.c and mod_proxy.c. They do not exist in /etc/apache2/mods-available. However, none of the modules in that directory are file type 'c'. In any case if those modules are not loaded would not that explain my problem?
