It depends on what you mean by "work".  As far as I know, Mailman 3 is
fully compatible with Mailman 2 for such lists.  It is definitely true
that mail sent to ep@ will be delivered to all members of ep2021@,
ep2022@, and ep2023@.  I believe the features of Mailman 2 for
improving administration of umbrella lists (like ep@) are all
implemented in Mailman 3.  (These features mostly have to do with
things like how the -owner address is handled.)

For completeness I guess I should mention there are differences having
to do with password reminders since we don't send those any more.
