Hi,

I know this doesn't answer your question, my suggestion: stay away from btrfs 
for now, untill it's ready for day-to-day use.
I have had two instances of complete data loss.

anyone has installed ubuntu 10.10 or linux mint 10 rc with btrfs filsystem with 
separate partion for /,/boot /var and /home ...
can one convert ext4 to btrfs ...

tutorials and simple explanation of btrfs...manuals on internet ....too 
complicates...
