Did you try the sites I mentioned in the previous mail? Basically, in the
command line, both UNIX and Linux are the same, similar shells, same commands,
etc.

Also, one thing that many of the newbies need to keep in mind is that UNIX, per
se , is *NOT* and Operating system -- its a *family* of operating systems. For
example; SunOS or Solaris won't look and feel the same like AIX.

For generic *nix and not specific to GNU/Linux alone, try [www.ugu.com].

For more info, google for "unix tutorials" -- where's the deep magic in that?

Like I said, strong C/C++ skills would help you grasp the concepts of UNIX. C
was *built* specifically to write UNIX. But, be wary that, the C/C++
environment in UNIX is entirely a different beast (I have my Engg. friends who
newly switched pestering me with why there is no "conio.h" in Linux!).

I particularly like the O'Reilly series
[http://www.oreilly.com/pub/topic/linux]. Select the one suiting your taste.

There's no spoon-feeding in the *nix world. Many (including me) are
self-taught. First get yourself a nice Linux distro (the *easiest* of Unix
derivatives) or some _real_ Unix itself: FreeBSD [www.freebsd.org/] or Solaris
[www.opensolaris.org].

Get yourself into some mailing list or IRC. Mailing a single individual isn't
going to help much. Trial-and-error is the only fool-proof method here.

Best wishes,
