Check out the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf or /etc/X11/xfree86.conf
according to the Xproject you are using for the details of the driver

I guess kudzu just start the system-config-display program..so what
you will be requiring is something similar to that! rit?
i think there is a utility provided by the X project ..
do x or X  <tab> <tab>
or man -k x |grep configure
substitute with a X also!

i think this command will also work
dpkg-reconfigure <your_X_package>
it works in Ubuntu a debian based one
