Hello Linuxers,

I had thought that this issue was over with. What's all the fuss about
GNU/Linux being Desktop friendly?

The question I always ask back (or better ask myself) is:

Are You Ready for Desktop GNU/Linux?

For about three-four months back I still had M$ on my box. On my path to
the Linux Nirvana I formatted the drives and hence even my family members use
GNU/Linux (But they can't live up with my nasty habit of switching distros
every month or so, but I'll stop that once I get my hands on Sarge).

Revelation: Contrary to popular belief there is *NO* intermediary Linux
users. Only novices and hackers. The other category are non-believers. This
is my personal opinion out my readings and experiences.

If all the packaging system is made standard whats the point of using GNU?
I personally prefer Autoconf, Automake, but the learning curve associated with
it is pretty steep. Not to mention the time and effort spend on a trivial
package. But Debian is with help at hand so we can convert any tar.gz to a
deb and `dpkg -i' it!

  Ciao...
