its a known fact that XMMS bundled with Fedora/RH does
not support mp3
Although i placed the libmad*.so in the ~/.xmms/Plugin
dir it seems not to be working
is thr any way to get a previously installed XMMS
codec support to be increased.

I also find that the home page of Mplayer shows a 'To
be shutdown page ' due to licencing issues--What is
the future?,is the FLOSS community going to be
disabled in using the existing mp3 songs?
