actually i didnt understand your query.I hope your question was "how
you can use internet without `named` and `bind` ".

When you are using intenet you dont need a DNS server in your local
system.its managed by your ISP.

When resolving urls first our request is recieved by DNS servers with
ISP which is actually a caching server .it keep previously resolved
DNS queries from clients thus saving network load and time .If no
entries are found thier the request propogates to next neigbouring
servers   as mentioned in the entry of ISPs DNS server.If our machine
has not recieved the result within timeout value specified it searches
next DNS server mention in the resolv.conf.
