hashir had indicated a problem whil running the 3d
desktop utlity in sarge...
well for running 3d desktop , we require graphics
hardware acceleration.. and open gl libraries as well
as of course.. direct rendering engine...
so first get the hardware accelerated drivers from ur
graphics card vendors web site.. install them..
make suitable modifications to ur
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file and try running 3d
desktop.. it will definitely work..
3d desktop displays the various desktops in a 3d
space and let u navigate thru them with keys..
a replacement for the desktop pager that sits in ur
panel..
the only advantage is u can see quickly what apps u
have opened on ur desktop..
i think but another app 3d glass is worth a try..
has anyone tried it..
