Hai Talking abt Modems. I am havg trouble initializing my modem. I'm havg a PCTEL Inc HSP56 MicroModem .Its listed among the pci devices..but am uable to use it. I tried to download driver. All i got was an unofficial one..and whenevr i try to install it i get an error in the end sayin tht..my kernel was complied with a diff version of gcc compiler..!!!! .Please Help.
