ILUGCOCHIN met at 2:00pm at the Internet Club Broadway. The meeting was
kicked off with an overview of all security and stealth tools available on
Linux and how they can best be used on a Linux box. This was then followed by a
indepth overview of all the features of each of the tools. There were lots of
questions about how stealth method could be used to compromise systems and what
were the possible work arounds to this problem.
This was then followed by a kernel compilation demo which was detailed in
explanation, and this continued for a good length of time and the marathon
meeting concluded by 7:30 pm
The members had contibuted to the effort of popularising Linux with a lot of
new members joining the LUG, the LUG appreciated the work of Mr Balakrishnan of
Indian Bank and Mr Dhirendra of Cochin University and exhorted the members to
continue the good work.
This ended the meeting for September.
