well i just checked up the new version and the new version doesn't compile. when i try to give /usr/bin/gmake (which the configure script asks to run) it runs fine, but when i give the /usr/bin/gmake install, it exits giving an error.
However i went through my program archives and came across the .04 version and tried to configure, make and install the same. This worked without any problems. so i think at present the deal stands better to search on the net for the file httrack-3.04.tar.gz. sorry guys :( couldn't find ne other solution for the time being. If there are many takers and the situation demands i can probably put the .04 version on the ilug-cochin.org website for people to download. > After extracting the files, i see a configure file in the src directory. > recheck ur file which u downloaded.
