Something to keep in mind.
For your own protection, if you do not choose the maverick upgrade, do get the security patches for lion and mountain lion that apple recommends for osx.
the latest maverick from the other day includes this for that edition.

I'm definitely not sure about upgrading. I did when it first came out, and
disaster struck, and I reverted to Mountain Lion. Apps and Safari loaded
horribly, Mail was screwed up; VO in Safari was awful. A nightmare.

With the latest updates to Mavericks, has it become a net gain to upgrade from
ML, or are they on parity still?
ML works great for me with my fusion VM of window7. I don't want to upgrade and
screw things up including my MacMail/Gmail setup , and also have to upgrade
fusion if there's not a net gain in features/productivity etc.

I have ML superDuper'd and I believe I go install Mavericks and swap back and
forth from ML, having both OSX versions available to me. I am a little leary
about what I might have to do for windows VM - perhaps having to upgrade fusion.
What do you all think? is it worth the hassle to go to Mavericks?
I usually don't like to get too far behind the curve with new OS versions, but
ML works fine and I believe Mavericks is still trying to stabilize from its
initial shaky roll out.
Thanks for your thoughts on this question.
