Does anyone have screenshots of VoiceOver settings? My setup is my Mac Mini, Keyboard, and mouse.
I called the Apple Accessibility line yesterday. The lady who helped me was rather nice. We did find a way to make Safari sort of work. Apparently my settings are a mess. I can only use the right and left arrows to move within the pages. Nothing else works. I still have not figured out how to work with mail. What works one time does not work another. VOJ only beeps. It does not open anything. It seems like a massive game of guess work. I can never figure out how to guess whether I need to click shift, control, option up arrow, shift, control, option, down arrow, or shift, control, option, spacebar, or enter to get something to open or do what I want it to. I had several of the training guides playing in the background all day long for many many days, And still can't figure it out. What I seem to find our long blocks of text, that say "Ra, Ra, you can do this, Ra, Ra you can do this, followed by a long list of undefined keyboard commands without any indication of where (or how) to use them, or what to do if they don't work. The group that I found that did contain step by step directions (for only a three partial activities) no longer work - which means some setting has been changed to no longer work with a keyboard. I still need to find step by step instructions out there somewhere. Trying six key combinations for every click isn't helpful. It would take an hour to complete five minutes of work at that speed. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
