The only way to read kindle books on an iOS device is with the kindle app. Yes it uses the VoiceOver voice but the app has to be installed to access the books.
Although amazon own audible and kindle this doesn't make them the same. Kindle books are ebooks so digital print/text books. Audible books as the name implies are audio books or talking books if you rather. They play in either the audible app or in the music app but in the music app have to be loaded from a computer. There are many more kindle titles and their usually cheaper but can only be listened to via your voice overs peach so you don't get human narration which can be a negative or a posative depending on several issues such as navigatio of material, quality of narration and personal preference.
