Thanks Tim. I don't know why I didn't see it before. And I also seem to have 
solved my speaker distortion problems. I left the 2.4ghz at automatic for the 
channel but changed the 5ghz channel setting to one of the higher selections: 
in this case 157. Haven't had any problem so far since doing that and the iPads 
show in airport utility on the devices themselves that they are using that 
channel.
