Also, does it happen if you turn off Voiceover?
Maybe, if you have sighted help at hand turn off Voiceover and have them click 
on the appropriate buttons etc.
This is just a suggestion though to see if it crashes without Voiceover on. If 
it doesn't then its obviously a bug with Voiceover or Mavericks.
