I command tab back and forth betweenmac and Fusion. When in fusion, if there's a focus issue, I first make sure I'm not interacting with the fusion toolbar, then I VO right arrow as far as I can go in fusion, then press the windows screen reader say line command, or tab several times until I hear my windows screen reader, then I know I'm focused in windows. sometimes I just get the clunking sound, and in those cases, switching between single view and full screen mode (command control F) shakes things up enough to let me get into focus with windows. BTW: I always keep fusion in full screen mode. that allows for the screen to clear when switching between mac and windows. Without full screen mode, windows stays on top of Mac (not important unless you have a little sight). When I finish working in windows for a while, and before closing the lid on my MBA, I always switch to the mac side. When I go back to windows later on, I'm right back in focus - I don't have to go through the focus routine each time I switch to windows. If windows is asleep (the screen is dark or the screen saver is active) I simply press a screen reader key combo and windows wakes up talking.
BTW: I disabled most of the fusion global shortcuts in the fusion prefs. they just cause problems for me and aren't really necessary. . . . .
