Well, to be honest, I had some time on my hands, and I knew alpine was fairly 
easy. The same compulsion that caused me to switch to the Mac and try various 
Linux distros on Vmware Fusion also caused me to poke around curiously. I also 
had the mistaken idea that using a different mail client would settle my Gmail 
syncing issues, but it didn’t. I’ve come full circle now, and Mail seems to be 
more stable these days after the tweaks that were done to it. Plus, I can use 
my random signatures more easily, and vO doesn’t act weird. :)
