Hi! I'm sorry I was not clear enough, so for any others reading this! 1, go to system pref's and select keyboard. 2, select the shortcuts tab. 3, select the accessibility category in the table. 4, in the table of key strokes find invert colours and interact with it until you hear VO say editing text, then press the key combination you wish to use [making sure that key stroke is not used for anything else] and VO should say selection replaced, arrow left and back to see if your selection is now there and if so just quit Pref's and off you go!
