No it is not the number 80. It is ", And I'm not sure why that choice was made but you can just ignore it. As for the ghost files as far as I know you get them what do you want them or not. You can just delete the things and fine or you can ignore them
And when you want to get a file, just type in the first letter of the filename and it will go past all those things.
