I have the windows volume set so that VO and Jaws sound at approximately the same level. Then I can boost or cut the volumes with the fn 11 & fn 12 keys if needed. Also, as to ram, I have windows 7 using the fusion recommended 1GB and 1 core on a 8GB MBA and I have no lag problems at all, except when windows gets busy with virus scanning or system updates etc. `.
