Hi Amy,
As somebody else already said, you don’t need to add your device. It will add 
itself when you plug it in. You can go to the LCD area by pressing vo-j which 
is how I move around most. That plus arrowing up and down the sources table. 
Don’t forget to interact with things if nothing appears to be happening. 
Oh, I’ve turned the side bar on in the view menu because I prefer this to the 
standard view.
